Review the questions and see which questions you answered that are labeled C or D. Those are the questions where growth is needed or action should be taken. Your goal is to become stronger in the weak areas so that you can confidently re-answer the questions next time, choosing either A or B. This part of the assessment is to help you understand how you can improve your parenting techniques or understand where you need help with parenting or help personally to become all you need to be for God to use you as an effective tool to raise the next generation of spiritual warriors for Christ.

Proverbs 22:6 tells us to: “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.” This is not a promise but a directive from God that we should be helping our children learn about the importance and value of God’s truth, promises, commandments, and instructions for life.

Teaching and learning require self-discipline and consistency.  The process of learning offers many opportunities to make it easy and fun for our kids – and us – to learn together. You can help your children learn colors, the alphabet, and numbers with the Bible. For example, teach colors in nature by saying something like: Jesus created all earthly things with the Father. He created green trees and grass, yellow sunflowers, red birds, and the blue sky.  Chapter 13 “Have Fun Learning Together” in Raising Kids to Follow Christ: Instilling a Lifelong Trust in God offers many helpful tips and resources.
