Playtime- Is it Really About Playing? Lee Ann Mancini

Playtime and games can reinforce biblical concepts, which are vital to teaching little ones God’s word!

Children not only need to strive to grow in faith, but it is also important for them to gain academic, financial, athletic, and social success.

Some ideas to help you engage with your child and incorporate biblical concepts during playtime:

  • If you can, have a playroom that has various stations. Then, in each station, have something that incorporates Jesus or biblical principles.
  • Try to engage their senses during their playtime: sight, taste, sound, smell, and touch.
  • Play games that challenge their memory and reinforce biblical concepts.

I wrote a letter to each of my children every single year until they both turned twenty-one. Each letter detailed the highlights of that specific year and all of the biblical concepts and principles I had taught them, along with their milestones of development (physically, emotionally, and spiritually). This helped them to recall the biblical principles they learned in life and during playtime.
