A Servant Like Jesus helps children learn to become a servant like Christ. In this story, Charlie is too shy to come out from his hiding spot behind the cleanup sink at school. When Miss Stella Starfish asks him to become her teacher’s helper, Charlie acquires new confidence in the special abilities God has given him. By helping his teacher and classmates, Charlie learns something even more important – the value of serving others and the desire to become a servant like Jesus.
A Lesson in Fearfulness
I’m Not Afraid! helps children replace their fears with faith. In this story, Susie and her friend go to the Undersea Amusement Park. Susie is fearful to ride the Whale-Back Roller Coaster. After her mother reminds her to say a prayer to Jesus, she rides the roller coaster. Susie learns that her fears can be alleviated as she places her faith in Jesus and the power of prayer.
A Lesson in Bragging
What a Bragger! helps children understand who they are is more important than what they have or what they can do. In this story, Melissa tries to win friends by bragging. She learns the Sea Kids love her simply for who she is. Her tears of sadness turn into tears of joy at her surprise birthday party. Melissa offers a prayer of thanks to Jesus for the things that matter most – her friends and family.
A Lesson in Acceptance
Fast Freddy helps children who are struggling with acceptance/bullying. In this story, Freddy, a sharktopus, overcomes the ridicule of being different. Because he is different, the Sea Kids are not sure how to accept him. After they get to know Freddy’s personality, they find that he is a wonderful kid. He says a prayer of thanks to Jesus for being different and for his new friends.
A Christmas Story
God’s Gift helps children comprehend what the holidays are really about. In this story, Christian and his sister believe they get more presents at Christmas while Jacob and his brother believe they get more presents during Hanukkah. They learn the holidays are not about receiving presents but about God’s provision for those He loves. Christian and Jacob learn to accept each other for their differences. The true gift from God is learned in this colorful holiday story.
A Lesson in Salvation
Forever With Jesus helps children who are struggling with the death of a loved one. In this story, the Sea Kids visit their grandparents for Grandma Pinky’s 80th birthday. Mr. Higgins, the neighbor – and believer in Christ – passes away. They understand they do not have to fear death because their belief in Jesus guarantees they will live forever with Him in heaven.
An Easter Story
God’s Easter Miracles helps children understand that the Easter celebration is not about the Easter Bunny or candy. It is about Jesus giving up His life and sacrificing Himself for others. Lenny was healed, Jimmy received salvation, and Paul, who has autism, has a change of heart. A true lesson of becoming more like Jesus is learned in this beautiful Easter story of love and grace.
