Highlighting some of the most important episodes from season 1!
EP1 – What is Preparing the Soil and Planting Seeds? Why Would You Care? What is the solution? Where do you start? The Bible gives us the answers and some examples. What do Jeremiah, Samuel, Timothy all have in common? They had an anchor, a solid foundation. Jeremiah understood that God appointed him before his birth. 2 Timothy 3:15 states, “…and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which were able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” In Psalm 71:6, King David declares, “From birth, I have relied on you.” There is a pattern here: before birth, birth, infancy.
EP3- Did Hercules want to be Jesus?
Both are claimed to be born of a virgin. As infants, they escaped death, were commissioned for divine duties, overcame temptation from supernatural forces, called “son of God/god,” were servants, and were betrayed by a loved one who hung themselves because of remorse. They both even proclaimed, “It is finished” before they died.
EP19 – Devotional Time and Teaching About the Holy Spirit
When children experience an empirical and intellectual encounter with Jesus, it allows a life transformation. While explaining the Holy Spirit, express that the love they feel from you as their parent is similar to God’s love from his Holy Spirit.
EP31 – Digging Deeper Into David and Goliath
Do you have a Goliath pestering you? Is there a bully agitating your child? This will be a unique episode in that you may think you know the story of David and Goliath – but let’s dig deeper for some nuggets of truth!
EP33 – Four Ways Your Child Can Experience God
There are many ways your child can experience God. The four main approaches are a word-centered approach, an emotion-centered, symbol-centered approach, action-centered approach.
EP37 – These Parents Never, Ever, Ever, Yell
For more than 30 years, the Inuit parents welcomed anthropologist Jean Briggs into their lives to study how they raise their children. She wondered how these parents controlled their anger when they had a toddler prone to having tantrums and how toddlers prone to having tantrums can become cool-headed adults.
EP41 – Helping Your Child Gain Spiritual Wisdom
