Jesus said it is better to give than to receive!
God gave the most precious gift of all, his one and only son. No greater gift has ever been given or received.
Here are some ways your children can give to others and, by doing so, transform their hearts so they will desire to serve others.
- Donate some of their toys and books.
- Bake some Christmas cookies and give them to an elderly or lonely neighbor.
- Older children can offer to babysit for free.
- Give up their time, for example:
- Vacuum the floor.
- Wash the dishes.
- Take out the garbage.
- Read to their baby brother/sister.
- Be a helper at school-help the teacher.
Teaching our children that the best gift of all is to tell others about Jesus is a gift to them as well. They will bear much fruit! They will become faithful servants and gain eternal rewards.
So, let’s teach our children about the real gift that lasts for all eternity – the gift of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior.
