Elizabeth Bartholet, faculty director of the Child Advocacy Program at Harvard Law School, wants to take our rights away as parents to homeschool our children. She believes homeschooling lacks regulation and poses a threat to children and society.
Since when is raising a child with Christian values a danger to the child and society? The phrase “separation of church and state” was initially coined by Baptists striving for religious toleration. Our forefathers never sought to evict the church from our government and society; they knew the importance of having a godly influence upon an evil society. As parents, we have the right to raise our children within a belief system isolated from evil societal influence.
The society viewed today is extremely self-focused, sexually driven, morally bankrupt, and on the verge of a total collapse. The nonprofit organization, Freedom from Religion Foundation, works tirelessly to remove any thread of Christianity from the public school system.
The roots of Christianity will hold your child strong against the storms of a secular society. Parents who believe in homeschooling should fight for their right to homeschool their children.
