How do you get your child’s attention or interest when you want to convey a Biblical message?
Words are powerful- Jesus used words to convey his message, heal the sick, and cast out demons.
Here are some phrases you can say to your children:
- This too shall pass
- Stand firm in the faith
- Be strong in the Lord
- Give thanks to the Lord
- Jesus loves you
- Glory be to God
- God loves you
- My help comes from the Lord
- I want you to be a forever, fruitful, and faithful follower
- His love endures forever
- Let go and let God
- Pray more, worry less
- Be kind to one another
- Jesus is my rock
- Peace be with you
- The Lord be with you
- Count your blessings
- God is good all the time
- It is well with my soul
- Let us rejoice and be glad in it
- The Lord gives wisdom
- Do not be afraid, for I am with you
- I will walk with the Lord
- If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it
- Get behind me, satan
- What a friend I have in Jesus
- Jesus take the wheel
- What would Jesus do – but I like to say, What did Jesus do
These phrases should be a part of your daily dialogue, and I’m sure your children will pass along the tradition to their children as well. They will learn to rely on these sticky phrases to help them, guide them, or give praise and thanks to the Lord!
